Originally constructed in 1892, Powder Point Bridge connects Duxbury Beach to the town of Duxbury, MA. Stretching just under half a mile long, or 2200 feet, the bridge was certified by the Guinness Book of World Records for being the oldest and longest wooden bridge in the world. After sustaining fire damage in 1985, it was completely rebuilt in 1986.
